November 18, 2009- Greece wins in Ukraine 1-0 and is heading to South Africa for the World Cup 2010. Ukrainians were celebrating when they drew with Greece thinking that qualification was a forgone conclusion. This was even more so when Ukraine tied in Greece 0-0 on the first leg. This is revenge for what happened in WC 2006 qualification.

You, and the other Ukrainians, come here to whine like babies about the « wrong team qualifying » and not giving Greece any credit. You all come here and say « Greece cant play offense » yet its hypocritical when Ukraine played full defense in the first leg (0-0) AND in the WC 2006 qualification match (Gre-Ukr 0-1). Ukraine plays sound defense and its called « marvelous defending » yet Greece does it and its called « anti-football ». Same style; just that Greece has that negative stigma.

hahaha u hav no idea about soccer. « they only won by 1 goal » ahhaahha so fucn what???? we were able to score against the opposition,,, they werent able to score against us!! isnt that the point of the sport u moron!!! greece went thru the qrts, semis and final of euro without conceeding a goal. and u say they fluked it….. u clearly hav no idea and are a major sore loser. i hope u enjoy watching other teams in the world cup this year and discrediting their achievements
so 1994 to 2010 is 25 years hahahaha man ur so dumb. and u say that we didnt beat heavyweights,,, u really are dumb. france-defending champs, portugal-hosts, spain(drew1-1 with) won the next tournament, and czechs-faourites. do some research before making rediculous comments. the path greece took was extremely hard. compare it to italys path in 2006 and u will see that. italy played ukraine in 2006,,,,doesnt get much easier than that!!

WOW, good another good point. I didnt realise ukraine lost 4-0 to spain. far out thats embarassing. greece drew 1-1 with spain in 04 and lost 2-1 in 08….when they were clearly the best team in the world. i think they may still be on that winning run

Why are you people giving me negitives for commenting about a possible Greece – Mexico? Like you don’t think Greece can beat them ?
The goal against the Ukraine was a class of its own, excellently scored.
But on the whole I think Greece will definitely be eliminated in the group stages in S. Africa.
