We are talking about Messi, not Maradona. We are talking about 2 men with different positionning inside the field and different gamestyle. Also we are talking about the major team, not an U20 one. Messi did good at Olympics and all the U20 squads, but we are not talking about them. This is another competition, another team and another time. Making comparisons is useless and modifies points of view from been objetive (the real deal) to subjetive (what i may think it could happen).
Anyway i really hope he can improve inside this team. Im not a hater, all the opposite. I wish him really the best at his club and in the national team (and i also know he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders). But im also the kind of person who thinks the team is really on top of names. I guess his awards are pushing the team to have him at the start line when maybe it´s time to put him in the bench for some matches and try another guys who are also very effective strikers and game makers.
